Overview of artist Michael O'Reilly

Michael O’Reilly was born in Cleveland on the North Yorkshire Moors (1988) and studied at the Royal Academy of Arts, where he received his Fine Art Postgraduate Diploma in 2013. Prior to this, he studied at the Wimbledon College of Arts (2007–2010). Recent solo exhibitions include Rover, HSBC Headquarters, London (2015) and Aftersun, The Space, Sevenoaks School, Kent (2014). Group exhibitions include the Neo Print Prize, Neo:Gallery, Bolton; Have We Met Before?, John Martin Gallery, London; A Virtual Topography, Husk Gallery, London and the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, London (all 2014). O’Reilly was the recipient of the Royal Academy Keepers Print Prize (2013) as well as the Edna Rose Weiss Award for Figurative Painting (2012), among others. He has held numerous teaching posts and featured on the judging panels of events such as the A-Level RA Summer Exhibition Award.
